My name is Cynda Whitehall.

I am mixed methods researcher, with interests in immigration and online communities.

I have a BA in Sociology and Political Science from Stony Brook University (2016).

I am currently working towards my MS in Applied Social Research at Hunter College (2022).

Passing it Forward Project (2021)

  • Personally contacted study participants to schedule interviews

  •      Conducted video interviews on behalf of the Passing it Forward Project

  •   Asked questions in accordance with the interview protocol to obtain information on participants’ bacground, professional and acticism life hisotry, and personal perspectives.

  •   Coded interview data using the program ATLAS.ti

 

Graduate Research Intern

American Civil Liberties Union (2021)

  • Helped manage database of research literature, including conducting literature searches and reviews

  • Regularly participated in cross-departmental meetings and planning sessions
